It was GREAT. AotS by far (that's both winter and spring for those of you wondering). It's just a good anime, I don't know what to say. Just finished the last episode and I was hesitant about the show's ability to wrap everything up in just one more episode, yet they managed to do it.
I feel really bad for Tahomaru, though. Their fight was really tense because it wasn't only smoothly animated, but I also didn't want to see either of the two brothers get hurt. I guess it turned out well enough, with Tahomaru having a sort of redemption (but can you even have a "redemption" if you were never full-on evil in the first place)?
I just dislike that Tahomaru and Mamamaru ended up dying (I guess it's open ended because we never see them die), as well as Hyakkimaru leaving without Dororo (kind of ironic for an episode called Dororo and Hyakkimaru).
I also like the final confrontation with Daigo though, playing into that whole not becoming a demon thing without feeling like a cheap "I'm not like you" trope. I still don't really get what happened to Daigo in the end though. Did he fall on top of the goddess of mercy's statue? Why were he and the statue covered in blood?
10/10, Party is Over.
