>alien contact

>aliens enslave humanity

>instead of treating humanity badly, they treat us better than any known human government

>everyone has free food, housing, and a purpose

>all of humanity's problems like climate change is fixed

>aliens themselves are very paternal

>no twists, no "to serve man" or anything like that later

>all they ask is for a feudal pledge of loyalty, the aliens do this out of a culture of noble oblige

So, what would happen if this scenario occurred in real life or in your setting? Would Humanity give up all of its freedom for this? Would it put up a fight against the opposition? Is freedom valuable?

Gnome hatred

No.79820429 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I have genuine hatred of gnomes, those fucking tiny bulbous headed freaks. How can anyone like gnomes at all? If I saw a gnome I would, without a doubt, eat it alive.

Was going to print an mtg cube but ended up removing lands in favor of an "any card as resource system".

Now I'm looking to implement more mechanics from other games, such has replacing Instants with cards similar to Trap cards from Yugioh and drawing back up to 6 at the end of your turn a la Keyforge.

What other mechanics sound should I have a look at? Should I consider going "no mana" like Yugioh?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

>DMing a campaign
>PC rolls a high charisma bard
>"Ok so you guys enter the town after overthrowing the local ruler, and theres a massive celebration! What do you do?"
>Bard "I walk away and stroll across the tree line to sit back and watch the festivities from afar"

Why the fuck would you roll a high charisma character if youre only going to use it for combat purposes, just play a fucking rogue.

Do you prefer to run a serious and "realistic" campaign, or something more silly and whimsical? Are you trying to go for a long epic tale of tragedy and triumph, or do you prefer a more casual and relaxing story?
