So how are wars fought in a D&D-esque fantasy setting? Considering what spellcasters can do isn't ancient and medieval-style warfare with tight formations, phalanxes, and grouped up cavalry just unfeasible?
Does it basically turn in to the equivalent of WW2 warfare? i.e Wizards are like artillery so you have to dig trenches and spread forces. Heroic martials are like tanks and mechanized infantry and it turns in to squads of units fighting.

Do you prefer to run a serious and "realistic" campaign, or something more silly and whimsical? Are you trying to go for a long epic tale of tragedy and triumph, or do you prefer a more casual and relaxing story?

>Mmmmm why yes Chaos™ is the cornerstone of Warhammer...
>All the other gods hmph they are but merely aspects of the Four Great Powers™ who are far superior...
>Mmmmm why yes the triumph of Chaos™ is certain their Dark Glory™ shall be had for the Four Great Powers™ are eternal and timeless mmm yes...
Did these edgelords really think their generic overpowered villain faction was interesting or enjoyable?

Prosthetics and mutations

No.79693580 ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Hey /tg/, I come to you a man in need.

I'm writing a post-apocalyptic underground setting to start with some friends in a few months. Probably using a slapdash combination of Godless and Punkapocalyptic for my system. There are two man races, one being hyper-augmented true-humans, and mutant-kin. I'm trying to think of some interesting prosthetics/augmentations for the humans, and equally interesting mutations for the mutants that can fill roles either mechanically in a gameplay/combat sense or in a rp function.

I'm gonna make them roll on a table for the race they pick. What would you add?
