Ignore bait edition

>What is Shadow of the Demon Lord?:
Shadow of the Demon Lord is a horror-fantasy tabletop adventure game that presents a world standing on the brink of annihilation. In this game, you and your friends play characters charged with fighting back against the spreading evil, whether that involves tracking down potent relics, exploring ancient faerie ruins, journeying into Hell to bargain with the Devil, or battling demons and the cultists who summon them.

I like creating characters in WoD because you color in dots instead of writing down numbers :)

Have you ever had to deal with a player who can't separate the views of morality IRL from the conditions that exist in a D&D fantasy world?

For the purpose of this thread I will use the term "Natural Alignment" to describe the moral compass / alignment a character has developed through life experiences, choices made, and even psychological trauma resulting in mental illness.

I tried to explain to one player, after his PC had been inflicted by a demonic curse, his character has become Chaotic Evil / Pure Evil.

He complains that his Natural Alignment (Neutral Good) should be able to overcome the curse even though he had already failed his Will save and the curse has changed his alignment.

Ever have any issues with players who think a characters Natural Alignment is some how "inalienable" and that a supernatural evil (Curses, Corruption, Possession) is on the same level as society based experiences that shape and effect the characters morality over time?

Please try to keep arguing to a minimum. Don't respond to bait/drama posts.
And as usual, try and keep it alive, or at least undead.

I hear a whole lot of complaining about the state of tg these days. There's all so much negativity and whining about things we don't like, and barely any talk about things we like. You see this by how people bitch about how something is bad and not explaining why, as though they expect said reason to be self evident.

So, I'll ask you: What, in your opinion, would your ideal /tg/ look like?

Okay so either jannies don't like boobs or the inbreds role playing cops and pedos ruined everything from the last thread.

Post onis and ideas for running them as a race in a game, repost if you were from the last one I had. This is the oni zone, don't suck cock like half the people yesterday

Is lighthearted noblebright fun a taboo now on /tg/? I feel like optimistic settings where anyone can be a hero and adventuring is a fairly common profession seems to be viewed as childish and lacking in stakes. I dunno, I just like it when settings are fairly upbeat and happy. The idea of adventuring guilds is actually kinda fun and helps reinforce that, cause sure, there may be some lich causing trouble, but there's so many eager ambitious adventurers signing up to kick his ass that they literally need to form an organization to decide who gets to do it.

/tg/ - Drawthread

• Provide good, detailed references (pictures are better than verbal descriptions), so the artists know what you're looking for.
• If you have a WIP quote the Anchor Post, and attach the WIP so your Drawfag can find you.
• Do not reply to other deliveries with a request that the artist fill your request next, this is called 'piggybacking'.
• Do not make multiple requests in the same thread and do not serially request multiple characters after a delivery. Suggesting several concepts for artists to choose from counts as making multiple requests.
• If you're unsatisfied with your completed request, please wait at least one week before you re-request. If someone follows this rule, don't waste posts by complaining about it.
• Don't critique others' requests. If you don't like it, don't draw it.
• Ignore the bait for they don't deserve (You)'s
• Stay on topic

>Drawfags and Drawfags-to-be:
• Feel free to drop your tumblrs/websites/commission/etc information, but if you're dropping your commission info, please consider filling a request beforehand instead of just advertising.
